Panasonic’s Toughbook series of laptops was designed, just as its name says, keeping in mind greater longevity, being indicated for those who work in places where an extra reinforcement in rigidity is always welcome (police, firefighters, military, etc).
The newest version, recently announced by the manufacturer, comes through the Toughbook 55 that maintains the already well-known robustness adding even more to the user experience. The model brings a modular design, with several components that can be updated simply and quickly by the user himself – we are talking about RAM, hard drives, SSD, battery and even the keyboard.
The release debuts as the Toughbook with the longest battery life in the history of the line: up to 40 hours away from the sockets when using two modules simultaneously. In terms of specifications, you can opt for versions with Intel Core i5 hi i7 vPro octave, AMD GPU (unspecified model), up to 64 GB of RAM and up to 2 TB of storage. Speaking of connectivity we have USB-C, HMDI 2.0 and Bluetooth 5.0; an interesting differential is for mil-stf and IP53 certifications.
For easy transportation, the model has a handle. Proving that its durability is, in fact, something to consider, the company promises up to 3 years warranty. In the US the Toughbook 55 starts selling from now on, with prices starting at $2099.
