Panasonic System Network Co., Ltd. announced on November 15 that it would release the commercial desktop A4 document scanner “KV-S2087” on November 13. The recommended retail price is 180,000 yen (excluding tax).
In addition to being equipped with a tray that can organize up to 200 documents, high-speed data transfer is possible with a USB 3.0 connection. It is possible to scan 85 sheets (170 on both sides) per minute for color and monochrome. You can switch between two types of transport methods: “U-turn pass”, which allows you to insert and remove paper from the front of the main unit, and “straight pass”, which allows you to pull the paper back without bending the document.
In addition, it comes with an LSI dedicated to image processing, and it is possible to process automatic trimming and tilt correction of document areas with hardware. It is said that it can maintain a fast and stable reading speed without relying on PC performance.
Its main body size is 350 × 319 × 242 mm (width × in × height), and weighs about 9 kg.
